Thing #8

I have setup my Bloglines account, but since I am using my home email account and will have to confirm from there, I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to add my news feeds, etc. to my account. Presumably there will be a tomorrow.

Thing #6 & 7

I guess I didn't get around to talking about my whole visit to flickr when last I posted (English-style horseback riding). I enjoyed my visit to the Meeteetse Branch Library's flickr collection (first attracted by the name of the library) and hope to steal some of their ideas for an adult summer reading program. They gave out a ticket for each book or audio book checked out which enters the customer in a raffle to win a digital audio player. We need to think up a nice prize and find a donor. Anybody have a friend at Target?
This isn't going to win me any points, but I'm not that interested in technology. My goal here is to become acquainted with these various technologies so that I know what people are talking about, but I don't have sufficient interest to spend my spare time on them, in them or with them. Sorry.

#5 explore flickr

Aside from the fact that someone can't spell flicker, I think this tool is way cool. I think I may give up my job and bathing so that I will have time to play with this. I may also need a digital camera, huh? I have all kinds of photo tools on my Mac and have never learned how to use any of them. flickr certainly has an easy seeming interface.

#4

Just checked my email account and my registration message did not bounce back. Yippee! (It doesn't take much to make me happy)

#3 & #4

I have completed the setup process as evidenced by the fact that this will be my third entry in my blog. Post #1 was about not liking to be read to. I think I have been successful in the registration process as well. I will check this out next in my email. A mail delivery problem notice will tell me is I was successful or not.

Week 1, #2

So, I wrote a contract with myself and evaluated the 7 1/2 habits vis-a-vis me. I don't think I really understand what a learning toolbox is, but the hardest habit for me is PLAY. Accepting responsibility, for learning or anything else, is the easy part.

Week 1 observations

Listening to the audio presentation I was reminded of why I dislike listening to audio books or even being read to--it's just too slow.
